Sarah's Key this Saturday night

Julia, an American journalist living with her French husband and teenage daughter in Paris, becomes obsessed with the story of a 10 year old French Jewish girl, Sarah, who once lived in the same house, but, in 1942, was rounded up with her parents to be sent to the concentration camps. A secret cupboard is at the centre of this powerful story linking Julia and Sarah, past and present. Sarah's Key is Magnetic Island Film Society's movie for May and will be screened at 8pm this Saturday at the All Seasons Hotel on Mandalay Avenue in Nelly Bay.

Margaret Pomeranz and David Stratton from ABC TV's At the Movies (read here)

Syl Hayes In reply to Fair raises $15,000 for school
What a wonderful outcome for the school! I had a great time face-painting with Luke and Sasha, met lots of kids and parents, scored some great books at the Trash n Treasure stall, and even remembered to vote. Everywhere you looked people were enjoying themselves...such a tribute to the organisers. Well done!
