Milestones of Magnetic in History Centres' 10th calendar

The Forts during WWII One hundred years of formal education on Magnetic Island will be celebrated with the centenary of the opening of the first school at Picnic Bay 12 June 1913. This landmark occasion is recalled in the Magnetic Island History and Craft Centre 2013 limited edition calendar as well as other significant events from Magnetic Island history.

Picnic Bay School Centenary features in Magnetic Island heritage calendar

Weve highlighted various happenings and recorded them for the month during which they occurred, said MIHCC president Zanita Davies. I feel sure our calendar collectors and lovers of the Magnetic Island story will be delighted with this, our tenth calendar edition.

Milestones of Magnetic is a limited edition calendar with only 225 copies available. Orders can be made by contacting Zanita Davies on 0488050145. Sales have begun so copies need to be secured promptly.

Calendars are $30 each including delivery within Australia and will be available for distribution mid November.

Syl Hayes In reply to Fair raises $15,000 for school
What a wonderful outcome for the school! I had a great time face-painting with Luke and Sasha, met lots of kids and parents, scored some great books at the Trash n Treasure stall, and even remembered to vote. Everywhere you looked people were enjoying themselves...such a tribute to the organisers. Well done!
