Schoolies Week 2003 Program

Schoolies celebrate The Magnetic Island Schoolies Week Committee is pleased to present the Schoolies Program for 2003. Please note that all of the planned events are drug and alcohol free.

Sunday Nov 23rd, 2003 2pm
Registration Desk Opens
Breaka Zone, Alma Bay, Arcadia Registration desk will be open 24 hours a day throughout schoolies week from 2pm Sunday 23rd onwards. Don`t forget to register so that you can enjoy discounts throughout the week and get entry to the organised activities.

Various Locations Check the BreakaZone Tent daily for the gallery of Maggie Magic Moments. Watch out for the roving Maggie Happy Snappers.

Week Long Scavenger Hunt
Various Locations Why not take part in the week long scavenger hunt. Entries close 10am Friday November 28th and big prizes will be given out at the farewell to schoolies on Friday night.

Beach Volleyball
Alma Bay, Arcadia Players from City Beach will show you how to play and then why not challenge them to a game.

Schoolies Welcome Dance Party
Arkies Resort, Arcadia Bay Dance party featuring local DJ`s - come on down to Arkies, the Schoolies Party Venue and catch up with old friends or make some new ones! If you don`t feel like watching the movie afterwards, a free bus service will get you back to your accommodation.

Movie on the Beach
On the beach @ Alma Bay, Arcadia After the dance party why not grab a place in the sand & watch a movie on a balmy summer`s night. Just head across the road from Arkies and look for the big truck - thats the screen! A free bus service will be there to get you back to your accommodation after the movie.

Tuesday Nov 25th, 2003 3-6pm
Skateboarding demo
Skate Park, next to Sport & Rec Club, Horseshoe Bay Come & watch the Island skate park get worked over by the crew from Skin, Sea & Surf. Why not bring your skateboard along so you can have a go afterwards or simply sit back and watch the demo before heading to the Club for some live music.

Tuesday Nov 25th, 2003 6pm-midnight
Outdoor Gig
Sport & Rec Club, Horse Shoe Bay From 6-10pm listen to five of the best local bands - as judged at the recent Battle of the Bands competition - for the bargain price of just $5!! Afterwards the club is open till midnight so why not hang around and have a game of pool. A free bus service will get you back to your accommodation.

Sun Ferries Reef Experience
Departs Nelly Bay Ferry Terminal Spend the day on John Brewer reef with morning & afternoon tea, buffet lunch, snorkelling equipment & glass bottom boat tour all included in the price. You can book for this trip before you get to Maggie by calling 1800 44 REEF (7333) - don`t forget to ask for the schoolies discount when you book.

Hang Out @ Horseshoe
Horseshoe Bay Come & enjoy all that Horseshoe Bay has to offer on or in the water. Discounts are available on tube rides, jet ski hire etc. If thats not your scene why not just hang out at the beach & watch everyone else. From 1pm there will be a kiteboarding demo by Kite & Board Co Nth Qld so why not come down and check out the latest watersport craze to hit Townsville.
