Smoke from Mt Paluma

The Queensland Parks and Wildlife Service are planning to conduct a planned burn today Tuesday 24th May 2011 on Magnetic Island as part of the annual planned burn program.

As a result, smoke will be seen coming from the Mt Paluma area behind Nelly Bay and Arcadia.

Rangers will be working along the Nelly Bay to Arcadia walking track. As a result the track will be closed to pedestrian access Tuesday 24th and Wednesday 25th May.

For more information, please call Queensland Parks and Wildlife Service on Magnetic Island on 4778 5378.
